Mrs. Jonathan Eastman
We are at the airport, waiting for our flight to Hawaii.
I have truly never been so happy.
The wedding was everything I could have hoped for.
I am Mrs. Jonathan Eastman!!!!

I’m trying to sit still as Sara works on my hair. She’s done my makeup already, and she did a really good job.
Jon’s over at the hotel getting ready.
Mittens is so cute! He keeps jumping up on my lap and jumping back down. I think he senses the excitement.
One more hour of being a single woman.
I. Am. Getting. Married. Today.
I’m posting this from the car. Everyone is inside The Fullerton at brunch.
I can’t really eat. I’m too excited and nervous!
Pretty soon, Sara and I are going back to the apartment, and she’s going to help me get ready. She’s going to do my makeup and hair (I hope it’s not too crazy, but she promises I’ll like it!)
Everything has been perfect. Dinner on Friday, the volleyball afterwards, the A’s game yesterday, the rehearsal dinner…
I think Jon is as excited as I am! We had a sweet private moment this morning. He told me how much he loves me, and how this is the happiest day of his life.
I’m so very lucky!
More later!
I can’t quite grasp that I am getting married in 3 days. 3 days!!!
My dad and Karen got in today and settled into the Fullerton. They’re due here for dinner in just a few minutes.
Jon is whipping up some spaghetti. I bought a cake from the bakery that’s doing our wedding cake.
Tomorrow, everyone will gather for a casual dinner and volleyball!
I had an attack of nerves for the first time today.
Until now, I’ve been so busy with the preparations that I didn’t have time to feel nervous.
But now that everything is in place, I am beginning to feel it.
Jon is sweet, as always. He made a calendar for our bedroom, and every night he crosses off the days.
Only 12 days to go!!
I cannot believe it!!!! It is only 19 days until the wedding. Less than 3 weeks!
Sara just gave me a present. It’s one of those cute string bikinis that say “Bride”. This one is a beautiful pink.
So much for my one-piece!
Almost everyone we invited to the wedding is coming. It’s terrific. Some wedding gifts have been coming in. We had registered at Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and we’ve already gotten so many nice things.
I really, really like this getting married thing!
Oh, my gosh! The wedding is now only 5 weeks away!
I seriously can’t believe it.
I have so much to report.
I bought the dress from Alfred Angelo’s that is actually a bridesmaid dress. I got it in ivory. It has spaghetti straps, an empire waist, and an uneven, flirty hem that hits me a little below the knee. I love it!
We ordered a strawberries and cream cake.
The roses are still in bloom, as are the carnations. Les is going to help me assemble the bouquet right before the wedding.
Jon got his tuxedo, and looks incredible in it, of course.
We’re debating whether to bring Mittens to the wedding. He, no doubt, would feel perfectly comfortable since Storytown is his childhood home. But getting him to stay put in the chapel is another matter!
Now, as for the shower:
Sara surprised me with a very tasteful Alice in Wonderland costume. She was dressed as the Cheshire Cat–very cute, if a little risque. It was a very short dress, and she wore over-the-knee striped stockings. Les dressed as the Mad Hatter.
We held the shower in the Alice in Wonderland area after work. Sara had arranged for finger sandwiches, scones, a huge cake, and tea. It was wonderful. About 12 people came. We went through the Alice tunnel after, and everyone had a great time. Oh, and I got terrific presents. We’d registered at Target, so I received a variety of items…kitchen stuff, bedding, and naturally, lingerie from Sara.
Phew. I’m completely swamped, but I’m loving it! I can’t wait to be married to Jon.
Oh, my gosh! I forgot to say…his parents gave us a honeymoon to Maui as a wedding present. We’re going to stay at an incredibly fancy resort. I am beyond excited.
I’ve been completely swamped what with wedding plans and work.
The shower was beautiful! As soon as I get a chance, I’ll write a nice long post.
Jon was so sweet on Valentine’s Day!
He gave me a huge box of chocolates and a big bouquet of daisies in the morning. We had to go to work, but we went out to lunch at the pizza place. They were serving pizzas shaped as hearts. We shared a medium pepperoni and olive.
After work, we went out with Sara and Joey for their anniversary. After that…well, a girl doesn’t need to tell, does she?
I have to admit that I actually like winter. Of course, our winters are so mild. But work slows down, and Jon and I have plenty of time to cuddle up together and eat popcorn and watch movies. Mittens, of course, is always right there with us.
Looking forward to the shower in March. I am closing in on a dress and a cake. Everything is coming together!
